How can I tell if my store has updated registers?
- The quickest way to tell is by checking out the register when you walk into the store.
- If the register does NOT have a keyboard that means it’s an updated system.
- ALL SCOs (Self-Checkouts) have the new system.
What does this mean if my store has updated registers?
- Updated registers & SCOs do not give overage, they will ONLY make an item free
- Penny items & clearance markdowns that happen on Tuesdays will NOT ring correctly until Wednesday (reports from some people later in the day on Tuesday)
- Sometimes penny items will ring full price and TOTAL MUST BE HIT for a promotion to come off making them a penny
- $2/10 Birthday DQ & $3/15 DQ will NOT stack with Gain threshold digital coupons.
- Digitals coupons don’t always come off
- DG STORE Digital Coupons AFFECT your subtotal needed for $5/25
- EXAMPLE: the $3/2 FritoLay/Pepsi DG Store Digital – your subtotal MUST be $28 in order for your $5/25 to come off!
- SCROLL DOWN TO SEE DIGITALS EXPLAINED
- When doing $5/25 scenarios with items that have digital coupons that make them free, the digital coupon will adjust down to the remaining price after “less promo” (previously known as store discounts on older receipts)
- EXAMPLE: $1 item, store discount of 10¢, $1/1 digital coupon will adjust down to 90¢
STACKING UPDATE JUNE 2023:
- In order to be able to stack the $5/25 and the Gain threshold digital coupon you MUST follow these steps:
- MUST have a PAPER $5/25 that was printed from an UPDATED REGISTER!
- Scan said paper $5/25 FIRST, before doing ANYTHING ELSE!
- Scan your products
- Enter your phone number for digital coupons
- Hit total
