Believe it or not there will come a time where an employee will hand you the line of ‘I cannot sell you this item because it’s a penny.’ In a situation like that mention the policy & bring it up on your phone if need be. You can also ask to speak with the manager. If they absolutely refuse just move on with your day.
There IS exceptions where they can legally refuse to sell you expired food/medicine items & recalled items.
