Every Dollar General you visit will be different from the last. Specifically in regards to how many transactions they will allow you to do. Some stores allow only 1, others 4-5 and some will allow you unlimited transactions.
ALWAYS offer to put back items you decided to not purchase or had voided. If they say no it’s alright, say “No, I’ll do it.” POLITELY of course. This will help to build your relationship with your local DG employees. They will be less keen to be irritated when they see you walk in the store. Because believe me, they will recognize you as the couponer!
No matter whether you’re at your local store or a store you’ve never been to ALWAYS let people in line behind you go in front. Common courtesy.
When visiting a store you’ve never been to –>>
Just try and do 4-5 transactions (this is what I do). When you go to checkout ask “Is it ok if I do a few transactions?” Most likely the answer will be yes. If it’s NO.. see paragraphs below. If someone gets in line behind you LET THEM GO IN FRONT OF YOU! This is just common courtesy and will show the employees what kind of person you are. BE POLITE & FRIENDLY! Once you’ve finished your transactions thank them and apologize for it taking so long.
IF THE ANSWER IS NO –>>
Do NOT stand there and argue with them. Do NOT be an asshole back. BE POLITE and just move on to the next store. OFFER to put back the items you were going to purchase.
Do NOT NOT NOT leave a cart full of stuff at the register. It gives all of us a bad name. (There is exceptions where it’s ok to do that though. Only ONCE have I ever left a cart full at the register because of how awful they were to me).
You WILL catch more flies with honey than you will with vinegar is a VERY TRUE statement for digital couponing at Dollar General!!
